About Dustin

Dustin Lee has spent his legal life in South Carolina courts and community rooms. He trained within the state and stayed. That preference shaped a tradition rooted in local law and nearby institutions.

He finished undergraduate work in history at Coker College in 2001 and earned a B.A. in history from the University of South Carolina–Columbia in 2002. He went directly to the University of South Carolina School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. He has been a member of the South Carolina Bar since 2008.

Early in his profession he moved into personal practice. In 2008 he have become principal of Lee Law Office, LLC, a position he has held since. The office handles matters that generally come before municipal and household courts within the region. In 2014 he served as an associate municipal court judge for the Town of Bluffton, a position that gave him an inside view of nearby judicial procedures and the day-to-day work of municipal courts.

Lee’s affiliations reflect the shape of his work. He belongs to the South Carolina Bar and participates in each its Family Law and Criminal Law sections. He joined the Hilton Head Island Bar Association in 2011 and have become a member of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2019. Those memberships connect him with friends who manage felony defense, family law disputes, and municipal matters across the state.
