About Donald Wesley Hendry
Donald Wesley Hendry Jr. constructed his legal foundation in Florida. He attended the University of South Florida before earning his J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2001. Those years set the stage for a practice grounded in trial experience and public service.
Early in his career he moved into public defense. In 2005 he served as an assistant public defender in the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida. That work positioned him in the front of judges and juries, the place he treated arraignments, motions and trials. The court time shaped his approach to case preparation and client counseling.
After years within the public sector, he shifted into personal practice. In 2016 he opened the Law Office of Don W. Hendry, P.A. Running a solo practice required managing both case strategy and the business side of regulation. Two years later, in 2018, he shaped Hendry & Parker, P.A., becoming a co-owner. That move expanded the practice and taken new responsibilities in firm management and client intake.
Hendry has maintained ties to the nearby legal network. He has been a member of the Clearwater Bar Association since 2018. He also holds memberships in other expert organizations. Those connections maintain him engaged with developments in Florida law and local courtroom practices.
His practice has stayed rooted in Florida courts. Over time his work has mixed court litigation and client advocacy. Colleagues and clients see him as a practitioner who understands trial dynamics and case management. He balances the demands of legal proceedings with the paperwork and preparation that precede court appearances.
Outside the courtroom he has treated the duties that include running a regulation office: supervising body of workers, developing case strategy, and managing client expectancies. That blend of roles — attorney, supervisor, and nearby bar player — shapes how he strategies each matter that comes thru the firm.
He currently practices at Hendry & Parker, P.A., where his work centers on criminal protection and trial representation.
