About Donald M.
Donald M. Hahn built his legal basis at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a B.S. in political science in 1987. He went on to Villanova University School of Law and finished his J.D. in 1992. Those educational years framed an interest in litigation and insolvency that would guide his career.
He began his practice as an affiliate at Novak Stover in 1992. He treated insolvency things early on and stayed with the firm because it evolved. In 2003 he have become a shareholder at Stover McGlaughlin. He has remained there since, taking on cases and responsibilities that range from court work to company management.
Hahn is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also holds certification in consumer insolvency law from the American Board of Certification. That credential marks an acknowledged specialization and informs the work he takes on for individual debtors and related matters.
Across his profession he has been active in the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association. He served at the affiliation’s board from 2003 to 2009, returned to the board in 2011, and has continued in that position. He used to be vice chairman from 2014 to 2015 and became president in 2015; he stays in that leadership position. The roles have put him in touch with judges, trustees, and fellow practitioners within the district and given him a steady presence in local insolvency practice circles.
His day-to-day work covers a mixture of debtor counseling, chapter filings, and contested things that occur in consumer bankruptcies. At Stover McGlaughlin, Hahn carries duties as a shareholder while maintaining a caseload. He has built a practice around the realistic problems humans face when seeking relief under the insolvency code.
He continues to participate in bar association things to do and board governance while practicing at Stover McGlaughlin, handling shopper bankruptcy and related things.
