About Devin Shamir
Devin Shamir Luqman pursued an unconventional trail into regulation. He studied movie and verbal exchange at Towson University, earning a B.S. in 2006, and later finished his J.D. at the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2013. Those educational choices left him comfortable with storytelling and court argument alike.
Luqman started his legal career in public defense. In 2013 he joined the Maryland Office of the Public Defender as an assistant public defender. That early work put him in courtrooms across the state and uncovered him to a wide variety of felony matters from misdemeanor dockets to criminal arraignments. The tempo was demanding. It used to be also formative. He discovered the way to move quickly on legal studies, the way to interview clients, and how to manage instances from intake thru trial.
After 3 years in public defense, Luqman moved into private practice. In 2016 he served as an affiliate at Konare Law, the place he treated criminal defense things and related hearings. Two years later he took on a management position. In 2018 he have become managing partner at Luqman Law, the firm that carries his call. That step shifted his responsibilities from casework alone to practice management, client development, and overseeing legal strategy for a small firm.
His professional memberships underline the regions that occupy his work. He has been a member of the Frederick County Bar Association since 2013. In 2018 he joined the Maryland Bar Association, the Maryland Criminal Lawyers' Defense Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Those affiliations recommend steady engagement with both criminal defense problems and immigration-associated practice developments.
In courtroom, Luqman handles criminal protection things and immigration-associated legal work. His background in public defense offers him experience with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy. Managing a small firm has added administrative responsibilities and a want to balance client service with realistic office operations.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and direct in his interactions. He tends to emphasize clear client communication, setting expectations early and revisiting them as instances spread. Outside the courtroom, his undergraduate research in film and verbal exchange continue to tell how he frames narratives and presents arguments.
He is licensed to practice in Maryland and maintains club in numerous nearby and countrywide bar organizations. He concentrates on criminal defense and immigration matters in Maryland.
