Dean Harold McVay is a certified attorney licensed to practice regulation within the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990 and holds bar number 149742. His license is currently in lively standing. Mr. McVay is a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, a countrywide law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with an office in San Bernardino, where he practices civil legal proceedings in the Healthcare Practice Group. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Mr. McVay earned his law degree degree from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1990. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Arts diploma in Political Science and Psychology in 1987. During his time at Vanderbilt, he used to be involved in a number of student organizations and activities, contributing to his improvement as an attorney.
Mr. McVay concentrates his practice in the areas of fitness care litigation, coverage insurance and terrible faith, actual property, and business litigation. He advocates for physicians, hospitals, nursing houses, assisted dwelling facilities, and other healthcare and long-time period care professionals and organizations. Throughout his career, Mr. McVay has treated instances in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Bernardino, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple events. Prior to becoming a member of Lewis Brisbois, he worked as an affiliate at a mid-length legal proceedings company in San Bernardino for several years.
Mr. McVay is a member in good standing of the California State Bar Association and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association, where he has served as President from 2012 to 2013 and as a Board Member from 2009 to the present. He is also concerned in various network organizations, which includes the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra, the place he served as President from 2017 to 2022, and the San Bernardino County Museum Association, where he served as President in 2017-2018 and Immediate Past President in 2018-2019. Additionally, he has been a Board Member of the Legal Aid Society of San Bernardino since 2018 and serves as a Senator for the University of La Verne Faculty Senate since 2020. Mr. McVay is fluent in English and has a working information of Spanish, allowing him to serve the numerous communities of Southern California effectively.
