About David Riera
David Riera Ruiz is a licensed attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. He was licensed to the California State Bar in 2006. His license is presently in active status. Mr. Ruiz is a companion at Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester LLP, a full-service firm positioned in Los Angeles, California. He leads the Appellate Law (Strategy, Writs, & Appeals) team and serves as the firm's General Counsel. His practice encompasses various areas, which includes private damage, coverage fraud, employment law, shopper class actions, and actual property.
Mr. Ruiz earned his law degree diploma from Glendale University College of Law in 2006. Prior to law school, he finished his undergraduate education at the Universitat de Barcelona, receiving a Licentiate degree in Law in 1998 and a Master's diploma in 2000. During his time at Glendale University College of Law, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Glendale Law Review in 2005 and received Academic Achievement Awards in severa fields of law, including Real Property, Criminal Law, Conflicts of Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Writing & Research, Remedies, and Torts.
Mr. Ruiz concentrates his practice within the regions of appellate regulation, private injury, insurance fraud, employment law, consumer class movements, and actual estate. He represents clients in all levels of litigation, including case intake, evidence-gathering process, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial hearings in each state and federal courts. His knowledge includes drafting court filings and motions, similar to summary judgment motions, motions to compel and for sanctions, and motions to dismiss. He has carried out more than five bench trials as lead counsel and second-chaired two jury trials.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ruiz has been concerned in severa multi-million-greenback personal injury cases, demonstrating remarkable writing and research skills. He has also been devoted to combating coverage fraud as part of the Special Investigations Unit / Insurance Fraud Litigation Team at Manning & Kass. His efforts extend to mentoring graduates of Glendale University College of Law, where he serves as an Adjunct Associate Dean and teaches guides in legal writing, studies, appellate advocacy, and torts. He joined the faculty at Glendale University College of Law in 2006.
Mr. Ruiz is a member in good standing of the State Bar of California. He is Spanish-speaking, English, and Catalan, allowing him to serve a numerous clientele successfully.
