About David P

David P Suich built his professional identity around tax law and business matters. He began his academic trail on the University of New Hampshire, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1981. He earned a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1994 and returned there to finish a LL.M. in Taxation in 1997. Those credentials anchor a career that moves among transactional work and regulatory questions.

Early in his career Suich translated classroom study into practice. After law school he entered private practice and took on tax strategy, corporate recommendation and the styles of cross-border and interstate tax questions that arise for companies and excessive-net-really worth people. He has maintained admissions in multiple states, and he's licensed to practice in Ohio, Kentucky and North Carolina.

Suich’s work has balanced advisory engagements and dispute things. He has advised clients on federal and state tax implications of business reorganizations, handled adherence and reporting issues, and supported estate and succession making plans. He has also assisted clients responding to audits and examinations. The LL.M. in Taxation gave him additional technical education in regions such as partnership taxation, company tax, and the Internal Revenue Code, which informs the realistic counsel he gives to clients.

Colleagues describe Suich as methodical and precise in dealing with documentation and planning. He tends to interrupt complicated tax rules into concrete steps clients can follow. That approach indicates in his transactional files and in representations where timing and documentation materially affect tax results. He has practiced in companies that serve intently held businesses as well as clients with multi-state worries, so his practice carries each nearby and regional factors.

Outside of casework he has remained engaged with developments in taxation law thru ongoing legal training and expert contacts. He brings educational grounding and realistic knowledge to things that require interpretation of the tax code, negotiation with revenue authorities, or careful design of business and estate arrangements. He presently focuses his practice on taxation law and related matters.
