About David
David Gunn built the inspiration for his professional legal career at the University of Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1999 and finished his law degree at the University of Missouri School of Law in 2003. Those years in St. Louis formed his familiarity with the region’s courts and the practical contours of practice in Missouri.
After law school Gunn entered practice in an area reflected by his place of work. He is licensed to practice in Missouri, to the Tenth Circuit, and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Those credentials permit him to seem in both state and federal bankruptcy matters and to engage with the federal rule set that governs bankruptcy instances within the area.
Much of his professional lifestyles has been spent at The Bankruptcy Company. There he works on matters that arise when people and agencies confront insolvency. His day-to-day work involves the mechanics of filing, creditor communications, and courtroom appearances in insolvency hearings. He has experience counseling clients thru the selections insolvency gifts and in managing post-filing processes when instances move into the administrative stages.
Gunn has taken on roles that prolong past client files. He has been a member of the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri since 2015. That committee reviews and recommends adjustments to the courtroom’s local procedures. Beginning in 2017 he joined the Bar Association for Metropolitan St. Louis and have become concerned within the Pro Se Assistance Program. In that program he serves at the steering committee and acts as co-supervisor for the Post-Filing Volunteers. Those positions position him at the intersection of the courtroom, pro se filers, and volunteer attorneys who help after a case is filed.
His reputation in the nearby bankruptcy community is tied to continuous court involvement and committee work instead of to high-profile litigation. He practices where the office work, scheduling and procedural needs of insolvency frequently decide results as so much as legal theory. He currently practices at The Bankruptcy Company, the place his work facilities on insolvency matters and related federal procedures.
