About Daniel

Daniel McCabe took a path from the classroom to the courthouse. He earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont in 2004, then became to regulation and received his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2009. Those years set a foundation in research and verbal exchange that have shaped his practice.

After law program McCabe joined Axelrod and Adler as an associate in 2009. He spent the early years of his career handling case preparation, pretrial motions and evidence-gathering process in matters that required cautious legal research and steady client communication. In 2015 he have become a partner at Adler and McCabe. The move put him in a supervisory role when cases have become extra complicated and when strategic decisions about litigation and resolution needed to be made.

McCabe is admitted to practice in both Vermont and New Hampshire. He has been a member of the Vermont Association for Justice since 2009. Those affiliations keep him connected to advancements in state guidelines and practice, and to friends who handle trial and appellate work across the region. His day-to-day work combines courtroom experience, short writing and negotiation. He approaches every dossier in a methodical manner: gather details, test theories in studies, and gift alternatives so clients could make knowledgeable choices.

Colleagues describe McCabe as steady beneath strain and actual in his legal writing. He has overseen teams on discovery-heavy matters and has taken lead roles in preparing witnesses and shows for trial settings. Outside of legal proceedings duties he manages client intake and supervises junior lawyers on the company, bringing the practical skills from his earlier education in education into mentoring and attorney-client communication.

At Adler and McCabe, PLC, McCabe balances casework and company duties. He handles things that require courtroom advocacy and substantive legal analysis across two states. He currently practices at Adler and McCabe, PLC, representing clients in Vermont and New Hampshire.
