About Cynthia VanDeVoorde

Cynthia VanDeVoorde Hall educated first as an engineer and later as a lawyer. She earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, then went directly to receive her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. The two degrees shape how she strategies technical and legal problems.

After her chemistry and engineering research, she labored as a chemical engineer for URS Corporation in 1997. The move into regulation began with a federal clerkship; she served as a law clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Administrative Law Judges in 2002.
