About Cliff

Cliff Williams educated first as a business scholar and later as a lawyer. He earned a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2007 and a J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2010. Those two degrees framed a career that straddles the technical world of energy landwork and the legal demands that encompass it.

His access into the oil and fuel sector got here years earlier than law school. He worked as a landman starting in 1999, a role that put him within the area researching titles, negotiating rentals and monitoring possession interests. By 2009 he had taken on a hybrid position at Omimex Group as land manager and legal advisor, combining on-the-ground information of acreage with legal responsibilities.

In 2013 Williams moved into in-residence legal work for a multinational, becoming a member of Sinochem Oil Company as legal advisor. That position broadened his exposure to cross-border and company transactional things. Two years later he joined Legacy Reserves Operating, LP as senior counsel, a position that covered higher duty for contracts and corporate legal strategy. He persisted in-residence work at Guidon Operating, LLC beginning in 2017, advising on matters relevant to exploration and production operations.

Those successive in-residence positions mirror a career constructed on layered knowledge. Early realistic work as a landman knowledgeable later legal duties such as title review, rent negotiation and agreement drafting. His document indicates steady motion from area roles into legal advisor positions, and then into senior counsel work where he oversaw extra complex transactions and relationships with operators, landowners and business partners.

In 2020 Williams opened The Law Office of Cliff Williams. He shifted from company legal departments to operating his own practice. The office handles things that draw on his background in each landwork and regulation. Clients discover a practitioner who speaks the technical language of oil and gas and understands the legal matters the ones operations create.

Across two decades of work in the power sector, Williams has combined practical land knowledge with legal practice. He continues to operate The Law Office of Cliff Williams, dealing with transactional and land-related matters for clients within the oil and gas industry and associated fields.
