About Cherissa M.
Cherissa M. Krajniak constructed her legal basis thru two Midwestern schools earlier than moving into practice in Florida and Illinois. She earned a B.A. from Marquette University in 2007 and finished her J.D. at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2010. Those early educational years set the stage for a career that has moved between personal practice and nonprofit health facility work.
Krajniak started practicing as a solo practitioner in 2010. She later joined O Flaherty Law as a senior associate in 2015. In 2016 she opened firms bearing her name, serving as principal of Loire Krajniak Law, LLC and as managing shareholder of The Krajniak Law Group. Two years later she took on a leadership role at the Legal-Ease Law Clinic as Executive Managing Director and senior lawyer, a role that combines administrative oversight with client service.
Her work history indicates steady shifts between building personal companies and contributing to network-facing legal offerings. The move into clinic leadership observed years of handling person matters and running small-firm operations. Colleagues describe her as a person who balances casework and the practical needs of running a legal workplace. She has knowledge managing staff, supervising junior attorneys, and overseeing clinic packages alongside direct representation.
Krajniak is certified to practice in Florida and Illinois and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Her expert affiliations reflect a mixture of local and national involvement. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Chicago chapter since 2009, the State Bar of Illinois since 2011, and the American Bar Association since 2015. Locally she holds memberships and leadership roles in Chamber 630 and the DuPage County Bar Association, serving as an ambassador and a board director at Chamber 630 starting in 2019.
Her portfolio of roles — solo practitioner, senior associate, firm principal, managing shareholder, and health facility director — offers her a broad view of law practice in both private and nonprofit settings. That experience informs how she strategies cases, trains body of workers, and designs clinic services. She continues to practice through Loire Krajniak Law, LLC and remains involved with the Legal-Ease Law Clinic, the place she handles immigration and associated civil matters in both individual and organizational contexts.
