About Charley

Charley Gee grew up among the coast and the metropolis. He discovered early how local economies and daily hazards intersect. That background formed his choice to learn about law and to practise in communities along the Oregon and Washington coasts.

He entered the University of Oregon School of Law in 2008 and earned his J.D. in 2010. His law school training emphasised trial practice and civil litigation. Classroom work used to be balanced by time in local courts, where he watched more experienced lawyers attempt instances and argue motions.

After law school he joined Swanson, Thomas, Coon & Newton as an associate. The role put him on a steady diet of private damage documents, which includes automobile collisions, premises claims, and industrial-damage matters. He discovered case preparation, sworn testimony method, and court procedure there. Those early years also taught him how to manage client expectations beneath pressure.

In 2016 he formed Charley Gee P.C. He took the company to both coastal and concrete markets, keeping offices in Lincoln City and Portland. The move shifted him from employee to principal. It also required dealing with the business side of practice: staffing, initial case intake, and the day-to-day needs of running a small firm.

Gee is licensed to practise in Oregon and Washington. He advocates for clients in both states and looks in state trial courts. His things usually contain private personal injury cases springing up from vehicle injuries, slip-and-fall incidents, and work-associated accidents. He files claims, pursues bargaining sessions, and brings instances to trial when settlement cannot be reached.

Since 2011 he has been a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. That affiliation maintains him connected to see training and statewide advancements in civil litigation. He has used those resources to live recent on evidentiary rules and trial advocacy techniques.
