About Cathleen Marie
Cathleen Marie Bolek is a principal at Bolek Besser Glesius LLC in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been practicing law for over 30 years, specializing in labor law, arbitration and mediation, and legal rights. She used to be licensed to the Ohio State Bar in 1992. The company, positioned at 5885 Landerbrook Drive, Suite 302, takes on cases involving workplace discrimination, retaliation, and wage disputes across Ohio. She earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1992 and a B.A. in Political Science from Syracuse University in 1988.
During law program, she served as a clerk for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Grievance Committee, representing the Bar Association in the prosecution of grievances. She has also been a member of the Character and Fitness Committee for over ten years, interviewing applicants for the Ohio Bar to decide their fitness to practice law. Most of her caseload involves employment discrimination and retaliation cases, which includes wage and hour violations. She has knowledge in each trial and appellate courts. She has successfully settled and attempted numerous cases involving workplace discrimination, retaliation, and salary disputes. Before founding Bolek Besser Glesius LLC, she was a companion at another Cleveland law company. She has been recognized as certainly one of the pinnacle 25 Women Lawyers in Cleveland and certainly one of the pinnacle 50 Women Lawyers in Ohio by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine.
She has been listed within the Best Lawyers in America each year since 2012 and has acquired attorney rating service’s highest rating, “AV Preeminent,” since 2005. She is a founding member and Master of the Bench of the Cleveland Employment Inns of Court, a company dedicated to promoting collegiality and professionalism within the practice of regulation. She serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Ohio Association for Justice, and the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys. She is the Chair of the Employment Law Section of the Ohio Association for Justice and a common lecturer on employment law subjects. She is admitted to practice within the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
