About Brian Clifford
Brian Clifford Freeman constructed his legal foundation at Skidmore College, where he earned a B.A. in Government, and at Western New England University School of Law, the place he received a J.D. His early years within the regulation have been formed by a clerkship in the Superior Court Family Part in Hudson County, New Jersey, in 1982. That clerkship preceded a collection of in-residence and authorities roles that broadened his publicity to municipal and public-sector law.
In the 1980s Freeman moved into counsel positions for public businesses. He served as Associate General Counsel for the Newark Housing and Redevelopment Authority in 1983 and later as Deputy Lawyer General for the New Jersey Department of Public Safety in 1986. Those roles gave him knowledge in administrative practice and municipal matters. He entered personal practice on the finish of the last decade, becoming a member of the Law Offices of Brown and Childress as an affiliate in 1990.
The 1990s and 2000s brought partnerships and the launch of his own companies. He became companion at Law Office of Freeman and Gertner P.C. in 1992. In 2005 he opened the Law Offices of Brian C Freeman, LLC as owner. He later joined Freeman Hughes Freeman, LLC as a partner in 2012, and in 2015 he became a partner at Freeman Law Center, LLC. In 2019 he accepted a seat on the Board of Directors for NorthEast Legal Services, a position that connects him to regional access-to-justice efforts.
Freeman holds admissions in several jurisdictions. He is certified to practice in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, and he has admissions within the District of Columbia and earlier than the U.S. highest court. Those credentials mirror a profession that spans local and federal practice settings.
Professional institutions run deep in his résumé. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 1990 and joined the New Jersey State Bar Association in 2000. He served as President of the Garden State Bar Association and is a lifestyles member of the National Bar Association. Locally he has been active within the Hudson County Bar Association for decades, which includes service on its Family Law Committee, and he has served as a trustee. He used to be a Master on the Hudson American Inns of Court among 2011 and 2014. Other civic and fraternal ties consist of Phi Alpha Delta and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
His practice has drawn on decades of public and personal work, spanning household courtroom things, municipal issues and civil litigation. He currently practices at Freeman Law Center, LLC, where his work includes family courtroom proceedings, municipal matters and related civil work.
