Bret Nason started his expert journey in song before turning to regulation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College in 1983 and later attended William Mitchell College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. The gap among degrees marks a deliberate difference in direction; he returned to high school in his later thirties to pursue a professional legal career.
Nason established himself in insolvency and insolvency practice in Wisconsin. Shortly following law school he moved into personal practice.
