About Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin Goodwin built his legal foundation at Saint Vincent College, where he finished a B.S. in economics in 2003. He stayed in western Pennsylvania for law school and earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2006. His education set him on a path that combines court work and legal instruction.
Early in his profession Goodwin moved among practice and coaching. He served as a part-time law professor of law at Saint Vincent College in 2009, returning to the campus where he had been a student. A few years later he joined the Fayette County Public Defender’s Office as an assistant public defender in 2012. That post put him within the courtroom frequently and gave him direct experience with trial practice and client advocacy.
Goodwin belongs to the Pennsylvania State Bar and has been a member of the Fayette County Bar Association since 2006. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and holds admission to the U.S. highest court, skills that allow him to manage matters at each the state and federal ranges. Over time his work has mixed courtroom appearances, client counseling and procedural work in appellate settings.
He practices at GOODWIN COMO, P.C., where he continues to seem in Pennsylvania courts. His background in public protection and his appellate admissions inform the way he approaches cases. Colleagues say he brings a methodical strategy to case preparation and attempts to anticipate the issues that may topic in courtroom.
Outside of legal proceedings, Goodwin’s earlier coaching role signals a curiosity in legal education and mentoring younger attorneys. He has maintained local bar affiliation ties and participates within the expert lifestyles of Fayette County. His current practice at GOODWIN COMO, P.C. includes court legal proceedings in Pennsylvania and representation in things that may attain federal tribunals.
