Andrew Jeffrey Fishkin is a licensed attorney licensed to practice regulation in the State of California. He was licensed to the California State Bar in 2005. His license is currently in lively standing. Mr. Fishkin is the principal attorney on the Law Office of Andrew J. Fishkin, P.C., a law firm located in Bakersfield, California. He has been practicing law for over two decades, serving clients throughout the Central Valley region.
Mr. Fishkin earned his law degree diploma from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, graduating in 2004. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate schooling at California State University, Long Beach, the place he received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Asian Studies in 1993 and 2000, respectively. During his time at Loyola Law School, he used to be actively involved in a number of scholar organizations and legal clinics.
Mr. Fishkin concentrates his practice within the areas of immigration law and felony protection. He represents people in things involving asylum, citizenship, removal defense, household visas, green cards, immigration appeals, investment visas, marriage and fiancé(e) visas, scholar visas, tourist visas, and employment visas. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including preliminary case assessment, evidence-gathering process, mediation, settlement discussions, and trial hearings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his profession, Mr. Fishkin has handled instances in the Superior Court of California for the County of Kern, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to founding his own firm, he served as a Senior Special Agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from 2003 to 2005 and as a Special Agent for the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) from 1997 to 2003. He additionally served as a Border Patrol Agent for the U.S. Border Patrol from 1996 to 1997.
Mr. Fishkin is an active member of the State Bar of California and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He has been a member of the United States Army Reserve since 1984. He is English-speaking, Korean, French, Japanese, and Spanish, permitting him to serve a numerous clientele successfully.
