About Andrea Leah
Andrea Leah Gellen constructed a continuous profession in regional civil legal proceedings after finishing her legal background in New York. She earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2010, where she studied philosophy, psychology and records. She received her J.D. from Albany Law School in 2013 and entered practice soon after.
Her first role was as an associate at Shaw, Perelson, May & Lambert, LLP, beginning in 2013. She worked on legal proceedings matters there before shifting on in 2016 to McCabe & Mack LLP as an affiliate. In 2019 she joined Stenger, Roberts, Davis & Diamond, LLP, again in an affiliate role. Since 2020 she has been a member of Gellen Law PLLC, the place she carries a mix of trial and counseling duties.
Gellen is licensed to practice in each New York and New Jersey. She holds placement on the Part 36 List of the New York State Unified Court System, a roster that can relate to resolution gives and court procedures in civil instances. That procedural credential complements her courtroom work and the legal proceedings roles she has held across several companies.
Her expert associations are tied to the Hudson Valley and to New York’s broader bar community. She has been a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Dutchess County Bar Association since 2013. She joined the Mid-Hudson Women’s Bar Association and the Hudson Valley Young Professionals Association in 2016 and remains active in the ones organizations. Those memberships mirror a tradition rooted in regional establishments and networks.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe her approach as simple and realistic. She has moved thru several midsize firms over the first decade of her profession, gaining exposure to diverse caseloads and courtroom settings. That development led to her current position at Gellen Law PLLC, the place she manages cases from intake through trial when necessary.

She represents individual and business clients in contested matters and runs client consultations, draft court filings, and courtroom appearances.
